Part 2 with Sage Askin. During this discussion, Askin outlined the trade-off between the price of the land and the benefits of keeping someone else’s animals on it. He also talked about numerous strategies for making goats and hair-sheep viable livestock. Sage thought it was best to maintain a fairly rigid separation so that your enterprises could stand on their own and be self-sustaining. A few areas of the topic were gross margin analysis, land valuation and ownership, and types of land leases.
